QUESTION: How does a writer make marketing their stories easier on themselves?
In my opinion Internet book marketing is an absolute necessity if you want to sell your book.
I have a good, easy to navigate website that heavily promotes my current releases. I also have a link to where you can purchase it.
An auto responder is a good informative, sales or promotional tool. It is just an email that you can schedule to go out to any email list. It can be set up to create a series of emails to send out every Monday for six Monday’s in a row and then once a month after that. The benefits are that you can write the emails ahead of time and that the email can be sent to any list that you desire. Blogs can be sceduled to release you current information too. They need not just be for guest posts. They can work for you and you can check the stats on them to see how much traffic you have. Whether a certain promotion worked or not.
As we have to mostly market ourselves, I am up for anything that makes the path smoother.

That sounds heavenly. Where did you find the auto responder?
ReplyDeleteHi Margaret. I'm with you on anything that makes our marketing efforts run smoother. The competition is keen and it's very difficult to find ways to make our books stand head and shoulders among the rest. I try to take advantage of every free opp that I can, and that includes blogging. I enjoyed your post, and I always enjoy your blog.
